Health Plan Options for 2016
brings state employees two new health carriers for 2016. Aetna Whole Health and
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma join CommunityCare and GlobalHealth.
Also, GlobalHealth and Blue Cross Blue Shield will be offered state wide while
Aetna Whole Health will be available in the greater Oklahoma City (Canadian
County, Cleveland County and Oklahoma County) area and CommunityCare will
continue to be offered in Tulsa. HealthChoice, the state-sponsored indemnity
plan again offers the High and Basic plan design. A third HealthChoice plan,
the high deductible plan called the HDHP will return in 2016.

Oklahoma state employees have the option to opt out of the offered benefits. A TRICARE Supplement plan is once again available through the employee benefit program for retired Military Employees.

In 2016, the Debit Card will again be offered at NO CHARGE: The Flexible Spending Debit card continues gaining popularity among employees. The annual fee of $14.40 usually charged for the card has been paid on behalf of the employee by the Employees Benefits Department.
Option Period is October 1 through October 30, 2015.
